Founded in 2009 by Mitsunori Ishimatsu and Miho Kuroda, AODRESS was born from global travels and textile collecting. A 2012 journey to India changed everything: encountering traditional artisans and witnessing disappearing hand-weaving techniques sparked an ongoing collaboration that fuses centuries-old Indian craftsmanship with contemporary design. Each piece honors unhurried handwork and mastery—qualities mass production cannot replicate. The result is clothing imbued with genuine emotion, created by hands that still carry tradition forward.
